Project Overview

Iron Mountain’s Phoenix Campus is a premier mission-critical data center hub located on a 39-acre site approximately 10 minutes east of downtown Phoenix, Arizona. Upon full buildout, the campus will deliver more than 125 MW of critical IT capacity across over 1 million square feet of purpose-built digital infrastructure, making it one of the largest hyperscale data center developments in the southwestern United States. The campus comprises three major facilities: AZP-1 (41 MW), AZP-2 (48 MW), and the planned AZP-3 expansion, which will add approximately 36 MW of capacity across 230,000 square feet. Designed to support hyperscale cloud providers, artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC) environments, content delivery networks, and mission-critical enterprise applications, the campus offers scalable, high-density infrastructure for next-generation digital workloads. Sustainability is a core focus, with all facilities powered by 100% certified renewable electricity through Iron Mountain’s Green Power Pass program. The campus also incorporates dedicated on-site utility substations, energy-efficient zero-water cooling technologies, and resilient redundant power systems to ensure high availability and operational efficiency. High-capacity dark fiber ring connectivity links the campus directly to regional carrier hotels, internet exchanges, and major cloud express on-ramp services, providing low-latency, carrier-neutral interconnection. Combined with advanced security, flexible expansion capabilities, and resilient infrastructure, Iron Mountain’s Phoenix Campus serves as a strategic digital gateway for cloud, enterprise, and AI-driven computing across North America.
