Lumen Miami 4 Data Center 50 NE 9th St 6th Floor Miami Florida Lumen Technologies

Status: Operational   |   Location: 50 NE 9th St, 6th Floor, Miami, FL 33132, United States

Project Overview

The Lumen Miami 4 facility, located on the sixth floor at 50 Northeast 9th Street in downtown Miami, Florida, represents a premier enterprise colocation and carrier-neutral network interconnection facility operated by Lumen Technologies. Situated within the renowned NAP of the Americas complex, the data center provides approximately 5 megawatts of gross utility capacity and 3.5 megawatts of critical IT capacity, supporting low-latency edge computing, bare-metal infrastructure, enterprise applications, and hybrid cloud connectivity. Electrical infrastructure is supported by high-availability utility feeds, complemented by static uninterruptible power supply systems configured in N+1 and 2N redundant architectures. Emergency diesel generation provides additional resilience during utility interruptions and is designed to support continuous operations during severe weather events, including hurricane conditions common to South Florida. Thermal management relies on precision environmental HVAC systems designed to maintain stable operating conditions for a range of enterprise and high-density deployments. The facility also incorporates double-interlock dry-pipe pre-action fire suppression technology alongside dual-zone smoke and ion detection systems to enhance protection for critical computing equipment. Rack configurations range from standard 3-kilowatt cabinets to custom 15-kilowatt cages, providing flexibility for enterprise, network, and specialized computing requirements. Strategically positioned in downtown Miami, Lumen Miami 4 serves as an important telecommunications gateway between North American fiber networks and Latin American and Caribbean markets. The facility provides subterranean dark-fiber entry infrastructure, carrier-neutral meet-me rooms, and direct cloud connectivity to major hyperscale platforms. Around-the-clock security monitoring, biometric authentication, and zero-trust access controls further strengthen physical and operational security. With its strategic location, resilient power architecture, diverse connectivity, and specialized interconnection capabilities, Lumen Miami 4 plays an important role in supporting international cloud, enterprise, telecommunications, and edge-computing workloads across the Americas.
