Status: Under Construction (Topped Out Q2 2026) | Location: Greenland International Industrial Center (GIIC), Cikarang, Bekasi 17530, Indonesia
The Digital Edge CGK1 facility, located within the Greenland International Industrial Center in Cikarang, Bekasi, represents the flagship initial hyperscale building within Digital Edge’s approximately $4.5 billion CGK Campus in Greater Jakarta, Indonesia. Designed to accommodate extreme rack densities associated with artificial intelligence accelerator deployments, high-performance computing, and large-scale enterprise cloud workloads, the initial building is described as providing 125 megawatts of gross utility capacity and 100 megawatts of critical IT capacity. The development is supported by a significant utility arrangement with PT PLN, providing the electrical foundation required for long-term campus expansion and high-density digital infrastructure operations. Power distribution is designed around dual high-voltage feeds connected to the regional 150-kilovolt grid, supported by modular static uninterruptible power supply systems configured in N+1 and 2N redundant architectures. Emergency standby diesel generators provide additional resilience and are engineered to maintain continuous operation during utility disruptions and grid disturbances. Thermal management combines high-efficiency water-cooled central chillers with direct-to-chip liquid cooling loops designed to manage the substantial heat generated by dense AI accelerator and high-performance computing deployments. Recycled-water systems are incorporated to improve resource efficiency and reduce the environmental impact associated with cooling operations. Strategically positioned within the Greater Jakarta digital ecosystem, CGK1 is designed to function as a major carrier-neutral connectivity and enterprise gateway. The facility leverages Indonet underground dark-fiber infrastructure to provide high-speed, low-latency connectivity to downtown Jakarta facilities, including EDGE1 and EDGE2, regional internet exchanges, telecommunications networks, and international subsea cable systems. This connectivity architecture enables customers to access major cloud, enterprise, and digital-service ecosystems across Indonesia and international markets. With substantial electrical capacity, resilient infrastructure, advanced liquid cooling, recycled-water systems, and extensive fiber connectivity, Digital Edge CGK1 represents a significant component of Indonesia’s expanding hyperscale, cloud, and AI-ready data center infrastructure.
