Status: Operational (KIX10, KIX11, KIX12, KIX13) / Active High-Density & AI Density Upgrades | Location: Saito Aokita & Saito Yamabuki District, Minoh-shi / Ibaraki-shi, Osaka 562-0029, Japan
MC Digital Realty’s Osaka Data Center Campus in the Saito region (Minoh/Ibaraki) is Kansai’s flagship hyperscale digital infrastructure hub, delivering more than 70 MW of critical IT capacity across four purpose-built, multi-story facilities—KIX10, KIX11 (28 MW), KIX12, and KIX13 (21 MW). Strategically located within one of Japan’s fastest-growing technology corridors, the campus is designed to support hyperscale cloud providers, enterprise digital transformation, content platforms, and next-generation generative AI workloads requiring high-density computing environments. Engineered for exceptional resilience, the facilities incorporate advanced base-isolation seismic damper technology that minimizes structural impact during major earthquakes, ensuring continuous operations in one of the world’s most seismically active regions. The campus is powered by dual independent 77kV extra-high-voltage utility substation feeds, providing robust power redundancy and scalable electrical capacity for future expansion. To meet evolving AI infrastructure requirements, the campus is also designed with liquid-cooling integration readiness, enabling support for high-density GPU clusters and next-generation accelerated computing. Its connectivity infrastructure includes direct dark fiber interconnections to Osaka’s central business district and major subsea cable hubs, ensuring low-latency access to domestic and international networks. Customers also benefit from direct peering through ServiceExchange, JPNAP, JPIX, and BBIX, allowing seamless cloud connectivity and high-performance data exchange. As one of Japan’s most advanced interconnected campuses, MC Digital Realty’s Osaka facility plays a critical role in strengthening the country’s digital economy while providing secure, scalable, and highly resilient infrastructure for regional and global businesses.
