Project Overview

NEXTDC P1 is Perth's flagship carrier-neutral enterprise colocation data center, strategically located in the industrial suburb of Malaga, approximately 13 kilometers north of Perth's central business district. Purpose-built to Uptime Institute Tier III standards, the facility delivers approximately 6 MW of critical IT capacity across 3,000 m² of technical whitespace, providing highly resilient infrastructure for enterprises, government agencies, financial institutions, telecommunications providers, cloud service providers, and digital businesses operating throughout Western Australia. Designed to support mission-critical applications and hybrid IT environments, P1 features fully redundant power distribution systems, high-efficiency cooling infrastructure, advanced fire detection and suppression systems, multi-layer physical security, and 24/7 monitoring by dedicated operational personnel to ensure maximum availability and business continuity. As one of Western Australia's primary digital infrastructure hubs, the facility serves as a major cloud and network landing point, offering direct connectivity to leading cloud platforms including AWS Direct Connect, Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute, and Google Cloud Interconnect through NEXTDC's AXON platform, enabling secure, low-latency, and high-bandwidth access to public cloud services. P1 also provides carrier-neutral interconnection with multiple domestic and international telecommunications providers, internet exchanges, and managed service operators, while benefiting from Perth's strategic position as the landing point for several international subsea cable systems connecting Australia with Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and Africa.
