Project Overview

The NOS Imopolis I, originally known as Mainroad LX, is an established enterprise colocation and cloud data center owned and operated by NOS Sistemas, a subsidiary of Portuguese telecommunications group NOS SGPS, S.A. Located at Estrada Outurela 118 in Carnaxide, within the Oeiras and Greater Lisbon technology corridor, the facility has played a foundational role in the region’s corporate digital infrastructure ecosystem since its commissioning in May 2001. Developed to support the growing requirements of enterprise IT environments, the data center provides dedicated infrastructure for mission-critical workloads, managed IT services, cloud platforms, and telecommunications applications. NOS Imopolis I encompasses approximately 1,777 square meters of constructed computer room area and provides around 1.26 MW, or 1,257 kW, of installed IT power capacity. Its established infrastructure enables NOS to support customers and internal digital operations requiring reliable hosting, connectivity, and data processing capabilities within the Lisbon metropolitan area. The facility forms part of NOS’s broader data center strategy and operates alongside the complementary NOS Imopolis II facility, creating an important concentration of digital infrastructure in Carnaxide. Together, the facilities support the company’s enterprise cloud ecosystem, managed services, telecommunications operations, and connectivity requirements across Portugal. NOS Imopolis I’s location within the Oeiras technology corridor also provides proximity to major business districts, telecommunications networks, and other digital infrastructure facilities around Lisbon. As one of the older purpose-built data center assets in the NOS portfolio, the facility represents an important foundation of the company’s data center presence while continuing to support enterprise and cloud workloads. Its long operational history and integration with NOS’s wider infrastructure network reinforce its importance within Greater Lisbon’s evolving digital infrastructure landscape.
