Project Overview

The NOS Imopolis II is a modern, high-efficiency enterprise and cloud data center operated by NOS Sistemas, a subsidiary of Portuguese telecommunications provider NOS SGPS. Located at Parque Holanda, Estrada Outurela 118 in Carnaxide, within the Oeiras and Greater Lisbon technology corridor, the facility forms part of an established digital infrastructure cluster serving enterprises, telecommunications providers, and cloud users across the region. Commissioned in 2018, NOS Imopolis II was developed as a strategic expansion of the adjacent Imopolis I facility, increasing NOS’s ability to support growing demand for enterprise IT, cloud computing, and managed infrastructure services. The data center incorporates a modular white-space architecture designed around scalable, “Lego-style” rack deployments, allowing infrastructure capacity to be expanded efficiently as customer and workload requirements evolve. High-density cold-aisle containment further supports efficient thermal management and enables the facility to accommodate increasingly demanding computing environments. NOS Imopolis II provides approximately 2.0 MW of total IT load capacity and operates with Tier III-equivalent resilience, supporting mission-critical applications that require high availability and reliable infrastructure. The facility serves as an important hub for NOS’s enterprise cloud platforms, data analytics environments, managed hosting services, and telecommunications infrastructure. Its location in Carnaxide also places it within a concentrated technology and connectivity ecosystem, providing access to the wider Lisbon metropolitan network and associated carrier infrastructure. Through its combination of modular design, scalable capacity, efficient cooling architecture, and connectivity capabilities, NOS Imopolis II strengthens NOS’s ability to deliver enterprise-grade digital infrastructure while supporting the continued growth of cloud, data-driven applications, and telecommunications services across Portugal.
