Project Overview

The AtlasEdge Lisbon Campus, comprising LIS001 and LIS002, is a major carrier-neutral edge and hyperscale-ready data center development operated by AtlasEdge in Portugal. Located at Estrada Outurela 117a in Carnaxide, within the Oeiras-Lisbon technology corridor often referred to as Portugal’s Silicon Valley, the campus occupies a strategically important position within the country’s growing digital infrastructure ecosystem. The development was initially anchored by AtlasEdge’s acquisition of the former Colt DCS LIS01 facility, which now operates as AtlasEdge LIS001, before being expanded through additional capacity and modular development phases. The broader campus is planned to deliver up to 30 MW of total capacity, with LIS001 providing an initial 5.1 MW of critical power and LIS002 supporting further scalable expansion. Designed to accommodate demanding digital workloads, the campus is engineered for high-density artificial intelligence (AI), high-performance computing (HPC), cloud, and enterprise applications that require substantial power and resilient connectivity. Its location provides access to Portugal’s extensive telecommunications infrastructure and subsea cable ecosystem, with low-latency connectivity to cable landing stations supporting routes toward Latin America, Africa, and North America. The campus also incorporates sustainability-focused infrastructure, including electricity sourced from 100% renewable energy and systems designed to enable waste-heat recovery. This combination of scalable capacity, carrier-neutral connectivity, high-density computing capabilities, and renewable energy infrastructure positions the AtlasEdge Lisbon Campus as an important digital infrastructure hub for Portugal and the wider European market. Its expansion further strengthens the Lisbon region’s role as a strategic interconnection point between Europe and international markets.
