NTT DATA Chennai Data Center Campus II: 30MW Hyperscale & AI Hub in India
Status: Fully Operational / Active Phased Expansion | Location: Ambattur Industrial Estate, Chennai, Tamil Nadu 600058, India
Project Overview
NTT DATA’s Chennai Data Center Campus II in Ambattur is a high-density, purpose-built hyperscale facility strategically developed to support the accelerating digital transformation of South India and the broader Asia-Pacific region. Delivering 30 MW of critical IT capacity across a dedicated six-acre campus, the facility is designed to serve global hyperscale cloud providers, content delivery networks, OTT streaming platforms, financial institutions, telecommunications operators, and enterprises deploying artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and other compute-intensive applications. Engineered for next-generation workloads, the campus supports high-density rack deployments and incorporates advanced liquid cooling capabilities to efficiently manage the thermal demands of modern GPU-based AI infrastructure. The facility features resilient dual high-voltage utility power feeds, highly redundant electrical and cooling systems, and offers customers the option to utilize 100% renewable energy, supporting sustainability objectives while maintaining exceptional operational reliability. As a carrier-neutral campus, it provides diverse fiber connectivity and direct access to Chennai’s strategic subsea cable landing stations, enabling low-latency connectivity to Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and other global markets. Backed by comprehensive physical security, continuous infrastructure monitoring, and scalable colocation solutions, Chennai Data Center Campus II serves as a critical digital gateway that enables cloud expansion, AI innovation, enterprise modernization, and resilient international connectivity across India and the wider region.
