Project Overview

Prologis Project Sail is a massive $17 billion hyperscale data center campus planned across an approximately 832-acre site in Coweta County, Georgia, roughly 45 miles south of Atlanta. Originally spearheaded by Atlas Development LLC and subsequently acquired by industrial real estate giant Prologis, the development represents a major expansion of the Atlanta region’s growing hyperscale and artificial intelligence infrastructure market. The campus is master-planned to provide up to 900 MW of capacity and is expected to comprise nine large-scale data center buildings with a combined footprint of approximately 4.34 million square feet of dedicated data center whitespace. Designed around the rapidly increasing power and computing requirements of next-generation digital workloads, Project Sail is being positioned to accommodate hyperscale cloud platforms, artificial intelligence applications, high-performance computing, machine learning, and large language model (LLM) training. A key strategic advantage of the development is its location adjacent to existing high-voltage transmission infrastructure, providing direct proximity to critical electrical resources required to support a campus of this scale. Access to substantial power capacity is particularly important for AI-oriented deployments, where dense GPU clusters can require significantly greater electrical and cooling capacity than conventional enterprise computing environments.
