Reno Vantage NV1 224MW Hyperscale AI Campus
Status: Under Construction | Location: Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center, Storey County, Nevada, USA
Project Overview
The Vantage NV1 data center campus, situated in Storey County just outside Reno, Nevada, represents a massive $3 billion entry into a strategic North American expansion market. Designed explicitly to accommodate the explosive growth of artificial intelligence deployments, this megacampus spans nearly 137 acres and will feature four multi-story buildings totaling over one million square feet. Delivering 224 megawatts (MW) of gross IT capacity upon full buildout, the facility joins technology giants Apple, Google, and Microsoft in establishing northern Nevada as a key high-density computing hub. To support complex next-generation GPU infrastructure, NV1 is custom-engineered to handle intense rack densities ranging from 360W to over 720W per square foot. The campus is built around a highly flexible structural configuration, capable of running traditional air-cooled enterprise loads alongside modern liquid-cooling setups. Operating with N+1 electrical and N+2 mechanical redundancy parameters, the campus implements a highly efficient closed-loop chiller loop framework that minimizes local water utilization. Backed by a 100% matched zero-emission renewable energy framework, NV1 balances immense computational velocity with a highly compressed time-to-market window.
