Project Overview

The Sagebrush Hallam Hyperscale Campus is a proposed 1.7 GW AI and cloud data center development spanning more than 1,400 acres in rural Lancaster County near Hallam, Nebraska, positioning it as one of the larger planned digital infrastructure campuses in the region. Developed by Stark Power, a Tel Aviv-based energy and infrastructure company, following its acquisition of Sagebrush Infrastructure, the project is designed to support multiple hyperscale facilities serving the rapidly expanding demand for artificial intelligence, cloud computing and other power-intensive workloads. Its location within the Southwest Power Pool (SPP) territory provides access to a broad regional electricity network, an important consideration for a campus planned at gigawatt scale. The development is also positioned near major power infrastructure, including Nebraska Public Power District's planned natural gas generation facilities, which could support the substantial electricity requirements associated with future high-density computing deployments. The campus master plan is intended to accommodate ultra-high-density compute workloads, reflecting the increasing power and thermal requirements of AI infrastructure compared with conventional data center environments. To address these demands, the development incorporates closed-loop liquid cooling systems, providing a more suitable thermal-management approach for dense computing environments while reducing reliance on conventional air-based cooling. The availability of more than 1,400 acres provides substantial flexibility for phased, multi-building development and enables the campus to scale as hyperscale and AI capacity requirements increase. Rather than being limited to a single facility, the Hallam development is structured as a long-term infrastructure platform combining land, power access and advanced cooling capabilities. By bringing together 1.7 GW of planned capacity, extensive developable land, regional power infrastructure and liquid cooling, the Sagebrush Hallam campus could become a significant AI and cloud computing hub in Nebraska and the broader central U.S., while demonstrating the growing importance of dedicated power infrastructure and high-density cooling for next-generation hyperscale deployments.
