Scala Data Centers Fortaleza Campus: 30MW Sustainable Hyperscale Hub
Status: Under Construction / Active Phased Development | Location: Av. Dr. Aldy Mentor, 371 - Manuel Dias Branco, Fortaleza - CE, 60191-106, Brazil
Project Overview
Scala Data Centers' Fortaleza Campus (Praia do Futuro) is a hyperscale, AI-ready digital infrastructure development strategically located in Fortaleza, Brazil, one of South America's most important connectivity gateways. Positioned within a region that serves as the continent's primary subsea cable landing hub, the campus benefits from direct access to more than 16 international submarine cable systems linking Brazil with North America, Europe, and other global markets, enabling ultra-low-latency connectivity for cloud providers, content delivery networks, and multinational enterprises. Developed using Scala Data Centers' proprietary FastDeploy construction methodology, the facility enables accelerated deployment timelines while maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and scalability. Designed with an initial IT capacity of 30 MW, the campus is purpose-built to support hyperscale cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and high-performance computing (HPC) workloads, including next-generation GPU clusters. The infrastructure is engineered with direct-to-chip liquid cooling readiness, allowing customers to deploy high-density AI environments while maintaining optimal thermal efficiency. Sustainability is a core element of the campus, which operates using 100% certified renewable energy and incorporates an innovative air-cooling architecture that consumes zero water during normal operations, significantly reducing environmental impact. Combined with resilient power infrastructure, carrier-neutral connectivity, scalable expansion capabilities, and one of the world's most strategically connected subsea cable ecosystems, Scala Data Centers' Fortaleza Campus provides a future-ready platform for hyperscale digital services, AI innovation, and international cloud connectivity across Latin America.
