Silicon Foundation West Virginia is a planned 100.0 MW high-density artificial intelligence and high-performance computing data center development at 74 Warwood Avenue in Wheeling, West Virginia. The project is being developed on a former industrial steel site along the Ohio River, repurposing an established industrial location for next-generation digital infrastructure. Its planned 100.0 MW capacity is designed to support power-intensive computing environments associated with generative artificial intelligence, deep learning, high-performance computing, and other advanced workloads requiring substantial electrical and thermal infrastructure. The facility benefits from access to regional power infrastructure and high-voltage transmission lines, providing a foundation for the reliable electricity supply required by high-density AI clusters. The campus is engineered around next-generation computing requirements, with direct-to-chip liquid cooling architectures planned to manage the significant heat generated by high-performance processors and accelerated computing systems. Redundant power feeds are incorporated into the infrastructure design to strengthen operational resilience and support continuous computing workloads. High-capacity fiber interconnections are also planned to connect the facility with major Mid-Atlantic and East Coast data transmission backbones, supporting the low-latency network requirements of cloud platforms, AI workloads, enterprise applications, and data-intensive services. The project’s location in Wheeling provides access to an established industrial environment while placing the development within reach of regional power and telecommunications infrastructure. The conversion of a historic steel site also represents a transition from traditional heavy industry toward advanced digital infrastructure, allowing existing industrial land and infrastructure advantages to support a new generation of computing facilities. By combining 100.0 MW of planned capacity, high-voltage power access, redundant electrical feeds, liquid cooling, and high-capacity fiber connectivity, Silicon Foundation West Virginia is designed to support demanding AI and HPC workloads. The development reflects the increasing need for specialized data center infrastructure capable of handling the power density, cooling requirements, and network connectivity associated with accelerated computing.
