Status: Live / Operational | Location: Bekasi, Greater Jakarta, Indonesia
The official commissioning of STT Jakarta 3 in December 2025 marks a transformative moment for Indonesia’s digital infrastructure. Located in Bekasi, part of the Greater Jakarta industrial corridor, STT Jakarta 3 is the largest and most technically advanced building within the STT Jakarta Campus. With a design capacity of 36 MW, it brings the total campus power to 72 MW, making it one of the most significant hyperscale hubs in Southeast Asia.
Engineering for the AI Era
The core differentiator of STT Jakarta 3 is its "AI-Ready" architecture. Recognizing the shift toward high-performance computing (HPC) and Generative AI, STT GDC Indonesia integrated infrastructure that supports both traditional air cooling and advanced Liquid-to-Chip cooling. This flexibility allows the facility to house the latest GPU clusters (such as NVIDIA H200/B200) with rack densities that far exceed the 15 kW industry average in Indonesia. The facility is certified to TIA-942 Rated 3 standards, ensuring concurrent maintainability and high availability for mission-critical applications.
Strategic Joint Venture and Connectivity
The project is a flagship development for PT STT GDC Indonesia, a joint venture between the global powerhouse ST Telemedia Global Data Centres, the Indonesian conglomerate Triputra Group, and Temasek. This partnership combines international operational expertise with deep local market knowledge. Connectivity is another pillar of the project; the facility is carrier-neutral with access to a wide array of local and international fiber providers. It serves as a peering point for the Jakarta-Cikampek highway digital corridor, providing low-latency access to the capital’s financial district while remaining outside the flood-prone central zones.
Sustainability and ESG Leadership
In line with STT GDC’s global commitment to be carbon neutral by 2030, STT Jakarta 3 was designed with sustainability at its heart. It targets a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of 1.30, which is exceptionally efficient for a tropical climate. The facility’s operations are 100% carbon-neutral from day one, achieved through a combination of energy-efficient LEED-certified building design, renewable energy certificates (I-RECs), and a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for solar energy.
The Hub for Southeast Asia’s Digital Economy
As Indonesia’s digital economy is projected to reach over $130 billion in value, STT Jakarta 3 provides the necessary "digital engine" for local startups, e-commerce giants, and global cloud service providers. By offering a secure, scalable, and environmentally responsible environment, STT Jakarta 3 solidifies Greater Jakarta's position as a primary destination for hyperscale investment, competing directly with established hubs like Singapore and Johor.
