SUNeVision MEGA IDC Data Center Campus: Hong Kong's 180MW Flagship Hub
Status: Operational / Active Phased Development | Location: Tseung Kwan O Town Lot No. 131, Wan Po Road, Tseung Kwan O, New Territories, Hong Kong
Project Overview
SUNeVision’s MEGA IDC in Tseung Kwan O is Hong Kong’s largest purpose-built hyperscale data center campus, strategically developed to support the region’s rapidly growing demand for cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), high-performance computing (HPC), and next-generation digital services. As a cornerstone of SUNeVision’s extended MEGA Campus ecosystem, the facility delivers more than 180 MW of total IT power across approximately 1.2 million square feet of gross floor area, providing one of Asia’s largest hyperscale digital infrastructure platforms. Designed for high-density AI computing and exascale cloud deployments, the campus is engineered to accommodate advanced GPU clusters, enterprise workloads, and hyperscale cloud environments with highly resilient power, cooling, and network infrastructure. A key differentiator of MEGA IDC is its development on dedicated privately owned land, eliminating subleasing restrictions and providing customers with long-term operational flexibility and expansion opportunities. The campus is seamlessly interconnected through ultra-low-latency optical dark fiber backhaul to MEGA-i, Hong Kong’s leading carrier-neutral connectivity hub, enabling direct access to a dense ecosystem of telecommunications carriers, internet exchanges, cloud service providers, and content networks. It also benefits from direct connectivity to the Tseung Kwan O (TKO) Express subsea cable landing stations, providing high-capacity international network routes across Asia, North America, and Europe. Combining hyperscale scalability, strategic connectivity, resilient infrastructure, and AI-ready design, SUNeVision’s MEGA IDC serves as a future-ready digital infrastructure platform supporting Hong Kong’s position as one of Asia-Pacific’s leading cloud and interconnection hubs.
