Project Overview

QGDC Karachi Technopolis is a planned 80 MW hyperscale data center facility being developed by Quantum Global Data Center, QGDC, in Landhi Town, Karachi, Pakistan. The Tier III+ certified facility is located within the Karachi Technopolis technology park, which has been approved as a Special Technology Zone and is intended to support the expansion of Pakistan’s digital infrastructure ecosystem. The project is positioned as a major infrastructure platform for sovereign cloud hosting, enterprise computing, artificial intelligence workloads, and digital services requiring locally hosted data and processing capacity. Its planned 80 MW capacity provides a substantial foundation for high-density server deployments and compute-intensive applications across enterprise, financial technology, and public sector environments. Power reliability is a central component of the development, with QGDC supported by a dedicated captive power arrangement exceeding 130 MW in partnership with Gul Ahmed Energy Group. This power strategy is designed to provide the electrical resilience required for continuous hyperscale data center operations while reducing exposure to limitations associated with conventional grid supply. QGDC has also established strategic technology collaborations with Huawei, supporting the development of advanced data center infrastructure and high-density computing environments. The facility’s location within Karachi’s industrial and technology landscape provides access to the city’s established business ecosystem, telecommunications infrastructure, and major connectivity routes. Its role within Karachi Technopolis also aligns the project with broader efforts to develop Pakistan’s technology and digital services sector. By combining hyperscale capacity, Tier III+ infrastructure, dedicated power generation, sovereign hosting capabilities, and AI-ready computing infrastructure, QGDC Karachi Technopolis is designed to support the increasing localization of digital workloads in Pakistan.
