Project Summary

Tetracore Atakobo Ogbere Tier III Data Center Nigeria

Status: Planned / Permitted   |   Location: Atakobo Industrial Park, Sagamu-Ore Expressway, Ogbere, Ogun State, Nigeria

Project Overview

Tetracore Atakobo is a planned 20 MW Tier III Fusion Block data center facility within the Atakobo Industrial Park along the Sagamu-Ore Expressway in Ogbere, Ogun State, Nigeria. Developed by Tetracore Energy Group in strategic partnership with Huawei and Inspirive Technologies, the approximately $400 million project is designed to strengthen Nigeria’s digital infrastructure by providing locally hosted computing capacity for organizations with data sovereignty, processing, and low-latency requirements. The facility is positioned to serve sectors including financial services, telecommunications, and government, while its planned high-density computing capabilities are also intended to support emerging artificial intelligence workloads. A key feature of the development is its integrated energy-to-digital infrastructure model, which links the data center directly with Tetracore’s energy assets rather than relying solely on conventional grid electricity. The facility is planned to receive power from Tetracore’s on-site 100 MW Independent Power Plant, supported by approximately 6.2 MMscfd of gas infrastructure. This dedicated generation model is designed to reduce exposure to grid instability and provide a more controlled electricity supply for data center operations, where continuous power availability is critical for compute-intensive workloads. The project’s location within Atakobo Industrial Park also provides access to established transportation infrastructure through the Sagamu-Ore Expressway, supporting connectivity with major commercial and industrial areas in southern Nigeria. Its Tier III design reflects the requirement for resilient infrastructure and operational continuity across enterprise and mission-critical workloads. By combining dedicated power generation, natural gas infrastructure, data center capacity, and partnerships with Huawei and Inspirive Technologies, Tetracore Atakobo represents an integrated digital infrastructure development aimed at expanding Nigeria’s domestic data processing capabilities. The project also reflects the increasing convergence of energy and data infrastructure as operators seek reliable power solutions for AI, cloud, telecommunications, and other high-density computing applications.
