Project Overview

Vantage QC1 - Montreal I is a 5-acre, 60,000 sq ft multi-story purpose-built data center located at 2900 Avenue Marie Curie in Saint-Laurent, Quebec. Originally constructed by Videotron’s 4Degrés and acquired by Vantage Data Centers in 2019, the facility is Uptime Institute Tier III certified and delivers 11 MW of critical IT capacity. Situated within Technoparc Montréal, QC1 supports enterprise, cloud, and digital infrastructure deployments requiring reliable power, efficient cooling, and access to the wider Montreal technology ecosystem. The facility is powered by nearly 100% renewable hydroelectric electricity supplied by Hydro-Québec, contributing to Quebec’s low-carbon data center environment and supporting the sustainability objectives of customers operating within the campus. Its intelligent free-cooling systems are designed to operate for up to 80% of the year, using favorable outdoor conditions to reduce reliance on mechanical cooling and improve operational energy efficiency. The cooling architecture supports the facility’s ability to manage enterprise and high-density computing requirements while maintaining a focus on efficient infrastructure operations. Two Meet-Me-Rooms provide dedicated environments for network interconnection, supporting connectivity between customers, carriers, and digital service providers. QC1 also incorporates N+1 electrical and mechanical redundancy, providing additional resilience during maintenance activities or component failures and supporting the operational requirements of critical IT workloads. Its multi-story design makes efficient use of the 5-acre site, while the facility’s location within Technoparc Montréal places it within an established technology and telecommunications corridor. Through its combination of Tier III certification, substantial IT capacity, renewable hydroelectric power, intelligent free cooling, and redundant infrastructure, Vantage QC1 - Montreal I contributes to the company’s Montreal data center portfolio and supports the continued growth of enterprise and cloud infrastructure in Quebec.
