Viettel Hoàng Hoa Thám 1 Data Center: Tier III Enterprise Hub in Ho Chi Minh City
Status: Fully Operational / Active Modernized Facility | Location: 158/2A Alley, Hoang Hoa Tham, Bay Hien Ward, Tan Binh 72510 Ho Chi Minh Vietnam
Project Overview
Viettel IDC’s Hoàng Hoa Thám 1 Data Center is one of the company’s foundational Tier III-certified urban edge facilities, strategically located in Ho Chi Minh City’s Tân Bình district near Tan Son Nhat International Airport. Delivering 5 MW of critical IT capacity across more than 700 server racks, the facility is designed to support enterprises, financial institutions, telecommunications providers, cloud service operators, government organizations, and mission-critical digital applications requiring secure, low-latency infrastructure. Built in accordance with ANSI/TIA-942 Tier III standards, Hoàng Hoa Thám 1 incorporates Schneider Electric/APC modular UPS systems with N+1 and 2N electrical redundancy, high-capacity 1600A Busway power distribution, and water-cooled heat-dissipation towers supported by 1+1 thermal redundancy to ensure continuous operations and high service availability. The data center is engineered to deliver reliable performance for enterprise IT, hybrid cloud deployments, disaster recovery environments, and latency-sensitive workloads while offering flexible colocation options for future growth. As one of Viettel IDC’s core network exchange facilities, Hoàng Hoa Thám 1 provides direct low-latency cross-connects to major enterprise cloud platforms, domestic telecommunications networks, internet exchanges, and Vietnam’s international subsea fiber cable systems, enabling seamless regional and global connectivity. Combined with advanced physical security, continuous infrastructure monitoring, and scalable digital infrastructure, the facility serves as a critical interconnection hub supporting cloud adoption, enterprise modernization, and digital transformation across southern Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
