Status: Announced / Under Development | Location: Becker Industrial Corridor, Minnesota, USA
Zone Frontier Minnesota AI Data Center Campus is a planned 500 MW hyperscale artificial intelligence and high-performance computing (HPC) campus located in the Becker industrial corridor in Minnesota, USA. The project is being developed to address the rapidly increasing infrastructure requirements of AI model training, inference, cloud computing, and other computationally intensive workloads that require substantial power capacity and advanced thermal management. The campus is expected to comprise multiple data center buildings and high-density data halls designed to accommodate next-generation GPU and accelerator-based computing environments. Its infrastructure will incorporate direct-to-chip liquid cooling systems, enabling efficient heat removal from high-performance processors while supporting greater compute density than conventional air-cooled facilities. Rack-level power architecture is planned to support loads of up to 120+ kW per rack, allowing the campus to accommodate dense AI clusters and specialized HPC configurations. The 500 MW planned capacity positions the development as a large-scale digital infrastructure project capable of supporting significant expansion of AI and cloud workloads over multiple development phases. Its location within the Becker industrial corridor also provides access to an established industrial environment and regional power infrastructure, which are important considerations for hyperscale data center development. The campus is expected to support applications including generative AI training, large language models, scientific computing, advanced analytics, cloud services, and other compute-intensive workloads. By combining high-capacity power infrastructure, liquid cooling, high-density rack configurations, and scalable multi-building deployment, Zone Frontier's Minnesota AI Data Center Campus is positioned to serve the evolving requirements of AI-focused operators and hyperscale technology companies while contributing to Minnesota's emerging data center and digital infrastructure ecosystem.
