EDC One is a Portuguese data center development company headquartered in Maia and focused on building and operating digital infrastructure. Its flagship project is a large scale data center campus in Pego, Abrantes, on a former industrial site near the decommissioned Pego coal plant. The development is planned across three phases, beginning with 300 MW and potentially reaching 800 MW of capacity. Total investment has been reported at approximately €7 billion, with operations targeted for 2028. The project is intended to support growing demand for cloud, hyperscale and AI computing infrastructure. EDC One has received €16.2 million in approved municipal tax exemptions to facilitate the development.
