Unidata S.p.A. is an Italian telecommunications, cloud, fiber, IoT, and digital infrastructure provider with an established data center business. The company operates proprietary facilities in Rome and Milan, including a 1 MW Rome facility and a Milan facility connected to the MIX Internet Exchange. Its major expansion is UniCenter, a joint venture in which Unidata owns 25% and the infrastructure fund managed by Azimut Libera Impresa SGR owns 75%. UniCenter is developing a Tier IV green data center in Rome with approximately 20 MW of power, more than 2,000 racks, and 13,000 square meters of total area. Unidata will manage operations, with the facility targeting wholesale customers and renewable energy usage.
