Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, November 6, 2025- Vietnam’s Kinh Bac City Development Holding Corporation (KBC) has signed a memorandum of understanding with global investor Accelerated Infrastructure Capital (AIC) and VietinBank to build a next-generation AI-focused data centre complex in Ho Chi Minh City, marking one of the largest technology infrastructure projects announced in the country to date.

According to the companies, the project will be located on roughly ten hectares within Tan Phu Trung Industrial Park in Cu Chi District and will be designed for a total IT load of about 200 megawatts. The planned investment is valued at around USD 2 billion, positioning it among Vietnam’s biggest privately backed digital-infrastructure ventures.

KBC said the development is part of its strategy to turn its industrial parks into digital-ready ecosystems capable of hosting hyperscale and AI workloads. The company added that initial construction and permitting work are expected to begin once the detailed feasibility and environmental reviews are completed, with a first phase targeted for completion by 2027.

AIC, which focuses on energy-efficient data-centre development and financing, will provide design and technical expertise, while VietinBank will lead financial structuring and credit support for the project. The partners said the campus will include advanced cooling systems and renewable-energy integration to ensure high performance and lower emissions.

In a joint statement, the three parties described the site as an “AI-ready hub” designed to host as many as 100,000 GPUs over time, supporting Vietnam’s ambitions to become a regional centre for artificial-intelligence computing.

Local officials have welcomed the plan, saying it aligns with the government’s push to attract foreign capital into high-tech infrastructure and cloud computing.

Vietnam’s digital-economy goals depend on large-scale, sustainable computing infrastructure,” a representative from Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Information and Communications said after the signing ceremony.

While the agreement signals growing confidence in Vietnam’s digital-infrastructure market, the project remains at the memorandum stage, and detailed financing and grid-connection plans are still under development.

If realised, the KBC–AIC–VietinBank data centre would significantly expand Vietnam’s role in Asia’s emerging AI-compute network, linking new industrial parks with international cloud operators and regional fibre routes.
