HUMAIN and DataVolt unveil bold plan for multi-gigawatt AI data-centre network powering Saudi Arabia’s digital future

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, November 7, 2025- Saudi AI firm HUMAIN has signed a strategic partnership with DataVolt to build a network of multi-gigawatt AI data centers across the Kingdom, marking one of the largest planned infrastructure efforts yet to support artificial intelligence workloads in the region.

Under the agreement, the two companies will jointly design and develop a portfolio of high-density data centers tailored for large-scale AI training and inference. While specific locations and project values were not disclosed, both firms described the plan as a “multi-gigawatt” initiative aimed at enabling Saudi Arabia to become a global hub for next-generation computing.

HUMAIN, backed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, has been accelerating its build-out of AI infrastructure to support regional and global customers. Its collaboration with DataVolt, already developing large-scale campuses including a 1.5-gigawatt “AI factory” in NEOM’s Oxagon, extends this momentum into a national framework of interconnected, energy-efficient facilities.

In a joint statement, the companies said the partnership will “combine HUMAIN’s AI platform capabilities with DataVolt’s data center development expertise to deliver sustainable, high-performance infrastructure that meets the exponential growth of AI demand.”

Industry analysts note that multi-gigawatt data centre programs typically require extensive integration of renewable energy, advanced liquid-cooling systems, and close coordination with power utilities to manage load stability, areas where DataVolt has previously collaborated with Saudi power providers.

The partnership follows a broader government-backed push to localize AI infrastructure and semiconductor supply. HUMAIN has previously worked with Nvidia and AMD on large GPU procurement agreements, positioning it to anchor early capacity at the new campuses once operational.

While no timeline has been confirmed, the companies said initial phases would begin “in the near term,” with sites designed to support hyperscale AI workloads and sovereign cloud requirements. Both partners emphasized that sustainability and regional energy efficiency will remain central to project design.

The collaboration signals Saudi Arabia’s growing ambition to lead the global AI infrastructure race, aligning with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 strategy to diversify the economy through digital and clean-energy investments.
