Buffalo, New York - December 15, 2025 - Motivair by Schneider Electric, a leading innovator in liquid cooling for digital infrastructure, today unveiled a new range of Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs) designed to meet the surging thermal demands of high-performance computing, AI Factories, and modern data centres. The new models, MCDU45 and MCDU55, represent the company’s first purpose-built CDUs for utility corridor installations, offering enhanced flexibility, performance, and integration across diverse deployments.

The MCDU45 and MCDU55 expand Motivair’s liquid cooling portfolio, complementing floor-mounted units and in-rack solutions, enabling operators to optimise thermal performance for hyperscale, AI, colocation, edge, and retrofit environments. These units are engineered to handle a wider range of chilled water temperatures, improving energy efficiency and uptime while simplifying maintenance and accessibility. By supporting full integration with chiller plants, the new CDUs allow operators to implement advanced thermal management, flow control, real-time monitoring, and adaptive load balancing, providing operational reliability for high-density compute workloads.

Andrew Bradner, Senior Vice President of Cooling at Schneider Electric, emphasized the significance of the launch, noting that the new CDUs allow customers to match deployment strategies to a wide range of accelerated computing applications while leveraging decades of specialized cooling expertise to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and future-readiness.

Rich Whitmore, CEO of Motivair, added that the partnership with Schneider Electric delivers next-generation cooling solutions that adapt to any HPC, AI, or advanced data centre deployment, enabling seamless scalability, performance, and reliability when it matters most.

The new CDUs will begin global production in early 2026, reflecting Schneider Electric’s continued commitment to helping data centre operators navigate the AI era with confidence. The launch follows Schneider Electric’s acquisition of Motivair in February 2025, further strengthening the company’s portfolio of advanced liquid cooling solutions for high-density computing environments.

By providing flexibility, energy efficiency, and integration ease, the MCDU45 and MCDU55 are positioned to become critical infrastructure for operators seeking to meet the growing demands of AI and HPC workloads worldwide.
