Project Overview

The 2 Davis Road Data Centre, also known as the Davis Road Data Centre, is a major hyperscale campus development located at 2 Davis Road, Wetherill Park, NSW 2164, Greater Western Sydney, Australia. Developed by Stockland through the redevelopment of an existing distribution center site within the Fairfield City Council LGA, the project is planned as a significant digital infrastructure node serving the rapidly expanding Western Sydney data center market. Approved under State Significant Development (SSD-59416728), the development comprises two purpose-built data center buildings designed to support approximately 180 MW of total overall power consumption, including an estimated 160 MW of critical IT load. The substantial electrical capacity is intended to accommodate hyperscale cloud platforms, artificial intelligence (AI) workloads, enterprise computing, and other high-density digital applications requiring reliable and scalable infrastructure. The campus’s electrical strategy includes dedicated underground subtransmission feeder cables extending from the nearby Wetherill Park Zone Substation through Endeavour Energy’s electricity network, providing the electrical infrastructure required to support the large-scale development. The project’s location within Wetherill Park places it within Greater Western Sydney’s established industrial and logistics ecosystem, offering access to existing utility infrastructure, telecommunications networks, transport links, and a growing concentration of data center developments. The two-building configuration provides flexibility for phased deployment and enables the campus to accommodate different customer requirements as demand for cloud and AI infrastructure continues to increase. Its high-capacity electrical design and focus on hyperscale computing also reflect the broader evolution of Western Sydney into a major Australian digital infrastructure market.
