Project Overview

The Glendenning Road Data Centre is a planned state-significant hyperscale data center development located at 2 Glendenning Road, Glendenning, NSW 2761, Greater Western Sydney, Australia. Situated on a 10.45-hectare site within the City of Blacktown Local Government Area (LGA), the property was acquired for A$181 million as part of an expansion strategy focused on hyperscale cloud infrastructure and artificial intelligence computing capacity in Western Sydney’s established industrial corridor. The master-planned campus is designed to comprise three five-story data center buildings, identified as DC01, DC02, and DC03, with a maximum building height of 43.2 meters. The development has been approved for a total site power capacity of 202.4 MW, providing substantial infrastructure to support large-scale cloud platforms, enterprise workloads, AI applications, and other high-density computing environments. A dedicated on-site electrical substation is planned to support the campus’s significant energy requirements and strengthen the electrical infrastructure serving the development. The data center buildings will incorporate high-efficiency mechanical air cooling and liquid cooling infrastructure, enabling the campus to support both conventional server environments and increasingly dense AI and high-performance computing deployments. Connectivity is another important component of the project, with planned low-latency fiber infrastructure connecting the campus to the ap-southeast-2 Sydney availability zones, supporting efficient access to cloud services and regional digital networks. Its location within Greater Western Sydney also provides access to established transport infrastructure, industrial land, telecommunications networks, and a growing concentration of data center developments. With its substantial approved capacity, multi-building design, dedicated electrical infrastructure, advanced cooling systems, and cloud connectivity, the Glendenning Road Data Centre is positioned to become a significant hyperscale digital infrastructure development supporting the continued expansion of cloud and AI workloads across the Sydney market.
