Project Overview

The Khazna TUR1 AI Data Center is a major planned hyperscale and AI-ready computing facility located within the BaลŸkent Organized Industrial Zone (BaลŸkent OIZ), Sincan, Ankara, Türkiye. Developed by Khazna Data Centers, a UAE-headquartered digital infrastructure provider and subsidiary of G42, the project represents Khazna’s strategic expansion into the Turkish market and is designed to support the country’s growing digital economy, cloud adoption, artificial intelligence, and high-density computing requirements. Master-planned for an ultimate capacity of 100.0 MW, TUR1 is designed around a modular architecture that enables infrastructure to be deployed progressively in line with customer demand and evolving workload requirements. Initial development phases are expected to focus on hyperscale cloud infrastructure, while the facility’s scalable design allows capacity to expand toward high-density AI computing clusters, advanced accelerated computing environments, and mission-critical enterprise workloads. The facility is planned with liquid cooling architectures to address the increasing thermal requirements associated with AI and high-performance computing systems. Sustainability is also incorporated into the campus design through the use of sustainable building materials, rooftop solar photovoltaic systems, high-efficiency adiabatic chillers, and wastewater reuse infrastructure, helping reduce resource consumption and improve operational efficiency. The backup power strategy includes HVO-compatible standby generators, providing an alternative fuel pathway that can support lower-carbon operations compared with conventional diesel-based backup systems. Located within Ankara’s established industrial infrastructure, the project is positioned to benefit from access to utilities, transportation networks, telecommunications infrastructure, and a growing technology ecosystem. With its substantial planned capacity, modular deployment strategy, AI-ready cooling infrastructure, and sustainability-focused engineering, the Khazna TUR1 facility is positioned to become an important hyperscale and AI infrastructure platform supporting Türkiye’s accelerating digital transformation.
