Project Overview

The Khazna QAJ01 AI Data Center, also known as the Khazna QAJ1 Ajman AI Data Center, is a flagship 100 MW hyperscale and AI-optimized data center located in the Al Amerah area of Ajman, United Arab Emirates. Developed by Khazna Data Centers, a G42 company, the approximately 100,000 m² facility represents a major expansion of AI-focused digital infrastructure in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The campus is designed specifically to support high-density GPU clusters used for artificial intelligence training, inference, and other accelerated computing workloads that require substantial electrical capacity and advanced thermal management. QAJ01 is planned with 20 modular data halls, each providing approximately 5 MW of IT power capacity, allowing the facility to support large-scale deployments while providing flexibility for phased customer requirements. The development is distinguished by its integration of advanced liquid cooling infrastructure, which is designed to efficiently manage the high heat densities generated by modern GPU-based computing systems. The facility has also achieved Uptime Institute Tier III Design certification, supporting a resilient infrastructure model suitable for mission-critical hyperscale and AI workloads. Electricity is primarily supplied through a high-reliability grid connection from Etihad Water and Electricity (EtihadWE), providing the substantial energy resources required for the campus’s large-scale computing operations. The facility’s location in Ajman also provides access to the wider UAE digital infrastructure ecosystem and supports connectivity with major population, commercial, telecommunications, and technology centers across the country. By combining large-scale IT capacity, modular data halls, AI-specific liquid cooling, resilient electrical infrastructure, and Tier III design certification, QAJ01 is positioned as a major AI infrastructure platform supporting the rapid growth of GPU-intensive computing, cloud services, and digital applications across the MENA region.
