AirTrunk JHB4 Johor Bahru Data Center Campus

Status: Under Development / Announced   |   Location: 5.59-hectare campus, Iskandar Puteri, Johor Bahru, 79200 Johor, Malaysia

Project Overview

AirTrunk’s JHB4 campus in Iskandar Puteri, Johor Bahru, forms part of the operator's multi-billion-dollar expansion in Malaysia. Delivering over 142 MW of total capacity across 8 high-density data halls and 11,150 square meters of technical area, JHB4 pushes AirTrunk’s total combined Johor platform footprint past 700 MW across its JHB1, JHB2, JHB3, and JHB4 facilities. Engineered specifically to support high-density cloud, generative AI, and liquid-cooled GPU compute clusters, JHB4 incorporates high-efficiency thermal architectures designed to operate with 100% recycled water to minimize municipal water consumption. Power delivery is secured via a permanent 275kV dual feed interconnected directly with the adjacent JHB2 campus substation network, tapping into Tenaga Nasional Berhad’s (TNB) transmission grid. Aligned with Malaysia’s national AI-focused digital infrastructure development framework, JHB4 offers rapid deployment capabilities, a target Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of 1.30, and carrier-neutral subterranean fiber paths. Strategically located near the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ), the facility provides low-latency cross-border transit and scalable compute capacity for global hyperscalers and AI enterprises.
