Status: Operational / Active Expansion | Location: Quilicura, Santiago Metropolitan Region, Chile
Ascenty Santiago 2 (SCL2) is Ascenty’s largest operational data center in Chile and a flagship facility within the company’s Santiago campus in Quilicura, one of the country’s leading digital infrastructure hubs. Strategically located to serve hyperscale cloud providers, enterprise customers, financial institutions, and content platforms, the facility spans approximately 22,000 square metres of purpose-built data center space and delivers 16 MW of total IT power capacity. Engineered to meet the highest standards of operational resilience, SCL2 is constructed to Zone 4 seismic resistance standards, enabling the facility to withstand significant earthquake activity while ensuring continuous availability for mission-critical workloads. The data center is designed to support cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), high-performance computing (HPC), and enterprise colocation environments with highly reliable power and cooling infrastructure. Sustainability is a key component of the campus, with operations powered entirely by 100% renewable energy to reduce environmental impact and support customers’ sustainability goals. The facility incorporates Ascenty’s proprietary tri-bus electrical redundancy architecture, providing enhanced power reliability, alongside an N+2 chilled water cooling plant that delivers efficient thermal management for high-density IT environments. As a carrier-neutral facility, SCL2 offers extensive interconnection options, direct fiber connectivity to PIX Chile, and low-latency access to leading public cloud platforms and major markets across Latin America. Combining resilient infrastructure, renewable energy, advanced electrical and cooling systems, and strategic network connectivity, Ascenty Santiago 2 provides a future-ready digital infrastructure platform supporting the continued growth of cloud services, AI innovation, and enterprise digital transformation throughout the region.
