atNorth SWE04 Sollefteå AI Campus (300 MW)

Status: Announced (Feb 24, 2026)   |   Location: Sollefteå (Långsele)

Project Overview

The atNorth SWE04 Sollefteå Campus is a flagship 300 MW high-density data center development announced on February 24, 2026. Located in the Hamre Industrial Park in Långsele, Sweden, this project is designed to be one of the largest and most sustainable AI-ready campuses in the Nordic region. Spanning a 50-hectare plot, the facility is engineered specifically for the next generation of high-performance computing (HPC) and generative AI workloads, with the ability to support extreme power densities of up to 1 MW per rack.

The project distinguishes itself through its "circular economy" approach. atNorth is implementing an advanced heat reuse system designed to export excess heat from the servers to local industrial or residential heating networks, significantly reducing the carbon footprint. The site utilizes 100% renewable energy from Sweden’s robust hydroelectric and wind power grid. Leveraging the naturally cold Nordic climate, the facility will use direct liquid cooling and free air cooling for the majority of the year, aiming for a market-leading PUE. The first phase is expected to be operational by the first half of 2028, positioning Sollefteå as a critical node in Europe’s digital infrastructure.
