Project Overview
The Bridge Data Centres MY07 Data Center is a major hyperscale campus located in Ulu Tiram, Johor, Malaysia, developed to support the rapidly expanding demand for cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and high-density digital infrastructure across Southeast Asia. Owned and operated by Bridge Data Centres (BDC), a subsidiary of Chindata Group, MY07 is positioned as a strategic large-scale data center hub within Johor’s growing digital infrastructure ecosystem. The campus is supported by a total power agreement of up to 400 MW with Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), while its initial multi-phase development is planned to provide more than 200 MW of IT capacity as customer demand increases. The facility is being designed to accommodate high-density computing environments, including AI and high-performance computing workloads that generate substantially greater thermal loads than conventional enterprise servers. To address these requirements, MY07 incorporates advanced direct-to-chip liquid cooling alongside cold-plate and immersion cooling architectures, developed in partnership with Vertiv, enabling more efficient heat removal from densely deployed computing equipment. A major sustainability feature of the campus is the integration of a Water Reclamation Plant (WRP) within the data center site. The system is designed to treat municipal wastewater and repurpose the reclaimed water for cooling applications through membrane bioreactor (MBR) and reverse osmosis (RO) processes, reducing dependence on potable water resources. By combining large-scale electrical capacity, advanced liquid cooling, and water-reuse infrastructure, MY07 is positioned to support next-generation AI and cloud deployments while addressing the resource and sustainability challenges associated with hyperscale data center expansion in Malaysia.
