Project Overview

The Equinix AT10x Hampton Data Center, also known as the Equinix xScale Hampton Campus, is a large-scale, multi-megawatt hyperscale data center development located at 1100 Site Parkway, Hampton, Henry County, Georgia 30228, USA. The project forms part of Equinix’s U.S. xScale joint venture platform and represents the company’s strategic expansion into large-format hyperscale infrastructure within the Greater Atlanta data center market. Master-planned to deliver up to 240.0 MW of critical IT power capacity at full buildout, AT10x is designed to support the rapidly growing infrastructure requirements of hyperscale cloud providers, artificial intelligence platforms, high-performance computing environments, and other power-intensive digital workloads. The campus is being developed with infrastructure capable of addressing the substantial electrical and cooling requirements associated with high-density computing, providing a scalable platform for future workload growth. A key element of the project is its long-term electricity strategy, anchored by a 20-year take-or-pay utility agreement with Central Georgia Electric Membership Corporation (CGEMC). Under this arrangement, Equinix is directly funding the construction of a dedicated high-voltage substation along with dual transmission lines, creating dedicated electrical infrastructure to support the campus as it expands. The Hampton location also places AT10x within the wider Atlanta digital infrastructure ecosystem, offering proximity to established fiber networks, enterprise customers, cloud platforms, and technology infrastructure. The development is expected to strengthen Equinix’s hyperscale capabilities while complementing its broader interconnection and colocation portfolio. With its substantial planned capacity, dedicated electrical infrastructure, and focus on AI and cloud workloads, AT10x is positioned to become an important hyperscale infrastructure platform supporting the continued growth of digital services across the Greater Atlanta region.
