Status: Announced / Pre-Construction & Urbanization Phase | Location: Polígono de servicios de Gazólaz (Calle A & Calle C), 31190 Gazólaz, Navarra, Spain
Campus Data Navarra is a major 300 MW hyperscale artificial intelligence data center development located in Gazólaz, near Pamplona, Spain, and developed by Spanish construction group VDR in partnership with Colliers. With an estimated investment of €3.3 billion, approximately $3.6 billion, the project is designed to establish one of Northern Spain’s largest data center campuses and strengthen the region’s position within Europe’s rapidly expanding AI infrastructure market. The development is being planned to support high-density artificial intelligence workloads, including large-scale model training, inference, machine learning, cloud computing, and other power-intensive applications requiring substantial computing and electrical capacity. Its planned 300 MW capacity provides the scale required for hyperscale deployments and dense GPU infrastructure, while the campus configuration allows computing capacity to be developed in stages according to demand. The project’s location in Gazólaz provides a strategic position near Pamplona and within reach of major Spanish technology, energy, and telecommunications networks. A key objective of Campus Data Navarra is to strengthen digital infrastructure connectivity between several major economic and data center corridors, particularly the Bilbao, Zaragoza, and Barcelona regions. This positioning could enable the campus to serve as an important link between northern Spain and established digital infrastructure markets farther east and south. The development also reflects the increasing importance of geographic diversification as European data center operators seek locations with suitable power availability, connectivity, land, and expansion potential. By combining substantial planned power capacity, hyperscale-ready infrastructure, and a strategically positioned site, Campus Data Navarra represents a significant expansion of Spain’s data center ecosystem. Its development could support growing demand from hyperscalers, cloud providers, AI companies, and enterprises seeking scalable infrastructure for next-generation computing workloads.
