Compass Datacenters Austin Data Center Campus: Sustainable Hyperscale Hub

Status: Active Development / Phased Campus Buildout   |   Location: Greater Austin Technology Corridor, Texas, USA

Project Overview

Compass Datacenters’ Austin Campus is a next-generation sustainable digital infrastructure development strategically located within the growing Central Texas technology corridor. Designed to support the increasing demand for cloud computing, high-performance computing (HPC), and artificial intelligence (AI) applications, the campus provides scalable infrastructure solutions for hyperscale operators, enterprises, and technology-driven organizations. The facility is built using Compass Datacenters’ industrialized prefabricated modular construction approach, enabling faster deployment timelines, improved quality control, and flexible capacity expansion to meet evolving customer requirements. The campus incorporates Compass’s proprietary indirect cooling architecture, which eliminates water consumption during normal operations while maintaining efficient thermal management for high-density computing environments. Powered through ERCOT’s Central Texas electrical grid, the facility benefits from access to a reliable regional energy infrastructure designed to support large-scale digital workloads. In addition, the campus is strategically connected to major Texas dark fiber networks, providing direct connectivity routes between key technology markets including Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio. With its focus on sustainable operations, modular scalability, advanced cooling innovation, and robust network connectivity, Compass Datacenters’ Austin Campus is positioned to support the next generation of AI factories, cloud platforms, and enterprise digital transformation initiatives.
