CoreWeave Denton: 250MW Texas High-Density AI Hub

Status: Operational / Phase Expansion Active   |   Location: 1500 Spencer Road, Denton, Texas 76205, USA

Project Overview

CoreWeave’s 250 MW AI supercomputing campus in Denton, Texas, stands as a premier facility in the specialized GPU cloud infrastructure market. Occupying a retrofitted 1 million-square-foot industrial footprint previously operated by Texas Instruments, the multi-stage development was engineered specifically to solve the extreme thermal and density challenges presented by generative AI model training and real-time inference workloads. Built to house massive clusters of thousands of interconnected NVIDIA Blackwell (GB200/GB300 NVL72) architectures, the facility serves leading AI-native enterprises, frontier research labs, and search platforms like Perplexity. The campus deployment represents a multi-billion-dollar infrastructure commitment within the Dallas-Fort Worth technology corridor. Through a joint venture development model with Chirisa Technology Parks and Lincoln Rackhouse, CoreWeave executed a rapid conversion of the industrial site into a high-density compute engine. The site’s electrical infrastructure connects directly into the City of Denton’s Municipal Electric Works (DME) and the ERCOT grid via dedicated high-voltage substations, utilizing behind-the-meter transformer arrays to support cabinet densities exceeding 100 kW to 140 kW per rack. Environmental and operational efficiency are maintained using state-of-the-art closed-loop liquid cooling systems. By circulating cooling fluid directly across GPU hot plates via rear-door heat exchangers and liquid manifolds, the facility minimizes water consumption while eliminating thermal throttling during peak processing cycles. Supported by multi-gigabit redundant dark fiber connections into primary Dallas carrier exchange hubs, CoreWeave's Denton campus provides low-latency, high-throughput bare-metal cloud compute powering next-generation artificial intelligence applications globally.
