Project Overview
The Cuasar Data Center Campus, developed under Cuasar Data Center Norte Uno, S.A.P.I. de C.V., is a flagship 307.74 MW hyperscale and AI-optimized computing complex located in Durango, Mexico. Developed through a strategic partnership between Cuasar Capital, part of the Spanish renewable energy conglomerate EOSOL Group, and Chilean infrastructure developer KA URBE IT, the project represents a massive investment of approximately $3.3 billion to $3.4 billion USD in Northern Mexico’s digital infrastructure sector. The campus is master-planned into two core facilities designed to address different segments of the region’s growing computing requirements. DC Norte Uno is the primary 20-hectare campus, featuring approximately 300 MW of capacity and 250 MW of IT load, with infrastructure designed to accommodate high-density AI clusters, hyperscale cloud platforms, and other demanding computing workloads. DC Norte Dos adds a 7.74 MW Tier III edge facility focused on industrial, enterprise, and regional applications, providing additional capacity for organizations requiring localized and resilient computing infrastructure. The development also benefits from EOSOL’s extensive solar photovoltaic portfolio in Durango, supporting the integration of locally generated renewable energy into the campus’s long-term energy strategy. In addition to its energy advantages, the project’s location provides access to strategic telecommunications infrastructure and cross-border connectivity along the Phoenix–Querétaro fiber corridor. This combination of large-scale capacity, AI-ready infrastructure, renewable energy resources, and strategic connectivity positions the Cuasar Data Center Campus as a significant digital infrastructure development for Northern Mexico.
