Project Overview

The DAMAC Digital MIL01 Data Center, also known as the Pregnana Milanese Hyperscale Campus, is a high-density digital infrastructure development by Edgnex Data Centres by DAMAC, the digital infrastructure arm of DAMAC Group, in Pregnana Milanese within the Metropolitan City of Milan, Lombardy, Italy. Located at Viale dell'Industria 15-3, the facility occupies a strategic position in Milan's western digital infrastructure corridor, providing access to the metropolitan area's established enterprise, telecommunications and technology ecosystem. Designed to deliver approximately 15 MW of critical IT capacity, MIL01 is intended to support hyperscale cloud providers, enterprise customers and increasingly demanding artificial intelligence workloads. The facility is planned around high-availability infrastructure principles, with redundant electrical systems designed to support continuous operation of business-critical computing equipment. Its power architecture incorporates dual A+B utility feeds, redundant static uninterruptible power supply configurations and standby emergency generation, providing multiple layers of electrical resilience. Thermal management is another important element of the facility's design, with high-efficiency precision cooling systems intended to support modern computing environments and readiness for liquid-to-chip cooling as rack densities increase. This capability is particularly relevant to AI and high-performance computing applications, where advanced thermal-management technologies can become essential for maintaining equipment performance. Network connectivity is also central to the project's strategic position. DAMAC Digital MIL01 is planned with diverse carrier-neutral fiber routes connecting the site to Milan's wider telecommunications ecosystem and the MIX, Milan Internet eXchange, enabling connectivity with carriers, internet service providers, cloud platforms and other digital infrastructure operators. Its location in Pregnana Milanese provides access to Milan's large enterprise market while offering a setting suitable for modern data center development outside the city's central urban area. As demand for cloud computing, AI infrastructure and high-density digital services continues to increase across Italy and Europe, developments such as MIL01 are expanding the supply of specialized computing capacity around Milan. By combining scalable IT capacity, resilient electrical infrastructure, advanced cooling capabilities and diverse fiber connectivity, the DAMAC Digital MIL01 development strengthens Edgnex's presence in the Italian data center market and contributes to Milan's evolution as a major European digital infrastructure hub.
