Project Overview

The DATA4 Milan Campus MIL01, also known as the DATA4 Cornaredo Flagship Campus, is a major hyperscale and enterprise colocation data center development owned and operated by DATA4 Group in the Greater Milan metropolitan area of Lombardy, Italy. Located at Via Monzoro 101-105 in Cornaredo, approximately 7 kilometers west of the Caldera telecommunications hub, the campus occupies a strategically positioned site within Milan's expanding digital infrastructure corridor. The development spans approximately 20 hectares and is planned to provide substantial capacity for hyperscale cloud platforms, enterprise customers, artificial intelligence workloads, and other data-intensive applications. MIL01 consists of multiple standalone data center buildings designed to provide secure technical environments and scalable infrastructure for customers with demanding availability and computing requirements. The campus incorporates resilient electrical infrastructure with dual-path A+B utility connectivity, redundant uninterruptible power supply configurations, and standby emergency generation to support continuous operation of critical IT equipment. Advanced cooling infrastructure is also incorporated to manage the thermal requirements associated with high-density computing environments while supporting operational efficiency. Connectivity is another key component of the campus design. MIL01 benefits from DATA4's integration with Milan's broader telecommunications ecosystem and provides access to metropolitan fiber infrastructure, carriers, cloud networks, and internet exchange connectivity. The campus is positioned to support interconnection with MIX, the Milan Internet eXchange, through diverse network routes, enabling customers to establish efficient connections with cloud providers, telecommunications operators, and other digital infrastructure platforms. Its location near Milan provides access to a large enterprise and technology market while maintaining proximity to major regional and international connectivity routes. The development is particularly relevant as demand for hyperscale cloud infrastructure and artificial intelligence computing continues to increase across Europe. High-density AI workloads are placing greater requirements on electrical capacity, cooling systems, and network connectivity, making large-scale campuses such as MIL01 increasingly important to the European data center market. By combining significant development land, scalable technical capacity, resilient infrastructure and access to Milan's dense telecommunications ecosystem, the DATA4 Milan Campus strengthens DATA4 Group's presence in Italy and contributes to the continued expansion of Milan as a major European digital infrastructure hub.
