Project Overview

The Vantage MXP2 Milan Campus, also known as the Milan II Data Center Campus, is a hyperscale data center development owned and operated by Vantage Data Centers in the Greater Milan metropolitan area of Lombardy, Italy. Located at Via Aganippo Brocchi in Castelletto, within Settimo Milanese and approximately 15 kilometers from central Milan, the campus represents an important expansion of Vantage's Italian digital infrastructure footprint. Developed to support hyperscale cloud providers, enterprise customers and increasingly demanding artificial intelligence workloads, MXP2 provides a substantial technical environment for high-density computing and business-critical applications. The approximately 1-hectare site accommodates two multi-story data center facilities with a combined 32 MW of critical IT capacity and approximately 10,000 square meters of technical whitespace. The campus is designed around high-availability principles, incorporating resilient electrical infrastructure with 2N and N+1 configurations to support continuity for critical computing equipment. Sustainability and thermal management are also central to the facility's design, with renewable energy sourcing and efficient cooling technologies intended to address the growing energy and heat-management requirements of modern data center workloads. Indirect evaporative cooling systems provide an efficient approach to thermal management, while liquid-to-chip cooling capabilities enable the campus to accommodate higher-density computing configurations associated with artificial intelligence and high-performance computing. Connectivity further strengthens the strategic value of the MXP2 location. Carrier-neutral fiber routes connect the campus with Milan's broader telecommunications ecosystem, including access to MIX, the Milan Internet eXchange, supporting interconnection with carriers, cloud providers, internet service providers and enterprise networks. Its proximity to Milan's major business and technology clusters provides customers with access to a large regional market while maintaining connectivity to wider European digital infrastructure hubs. As demand for cloud computing, AI infrastructure and high-density workloads expands across Europe, Vantage MXP2 provides scalable infrastructure within one of Italy's most important digital markets. The combination of significant IT capacity, resilient electrical systems, advanced cooling, renewable energy sourcing and carrier-neutral connectivity positions the campus as an important component of Milan's growing hyperscale and AI data center ecosystem.
