Project Overview

The DATA4 Milan Campus MIL02, also known as the DATA4 Vittuone Hyperscale Campus, is a large-scale hyperscale data center development owned and operated by DATA4 Group in Vittuone, within the Metropolitan City of Milan in Lombardy, Italy. Located along Via Giovanni Pascoli, the campus represents a major expansion of DATA4's presence in the Greater Milan digital infrastructure market and is intended to provide long-term capacity for cloud computing, enterprise IT and artificial intelligence workloads. The development occupies a substantial site of approximately 22 hectares and is master-planned for significant critical IT capacity across multiple purpose-built data center buildings, allowing infrastructure to be deployed progressively as customer demand develops. The campus is designed around high-availability principles, with resilient electrical infrastructure incorporating redundant power paths and modular uninterruptible power supply configurations. Thermal management is another important aspect of the development, with efficient cooling systems designed to support high-density computing while providing a pathway for advanced liquid-cooling technologies as rack densities increase. This capability is particularly relevant to AI and high-performance computing workloads, which generate significantly greater thermal loads than conventional enterprise applications. Connectivity is central to the campus strategy. MIL02 is planned to benefit from multi-path dark fiber infrastructure linking the Vittuone development with DATA4's wider Milan ecosystem, including the MIL01 campus in Cornaredo and Milan's broader interconnection market. Access to MIX, the Milan Internet eXchange, provides opportunities for connectivity with carriers, cloud platforms, internet service providers and other digital infrastructure operators. The Vittuone location also provides access to Milan's extensive enterprise and telecommunications market while offering the land availability required for large-scale campus development. As European demand for hyperscale cloud infrastructure and AI computing capacity continues to accelerate, large campuses such as MIL02 are becoming increasingly important for providing scalable power, cooling and connectivity. By combining substantial development land, expandable technical capacity, resilient infrastructure, advanced cooling readiness and diverse fiber connectivity, DATA4 MIL02 strengthens the company's long-term position in Italy and contributes to the continued growth of Milan as a major European data center market.
