Project Overview

DC Estate Malpica Campus is a 300 MW IT hyperscale artificial intelligence and high-performance computing data center development located in the municipality of Mora, Toledo, Spain. Originally developed by EdgeMode, Inc. through the special purpose vehicle DC Estate Malpica, S.L., the project was structured for acquisition by Spark AI Foundry Holdings LLC upon reaching Ready-to-Build status. The campus spans approximately 300,000 square meters and is planned across two large-scale facility blocks designed to accommodate high-density AI, HPC, cloud computing, and other power-intensive workloads. A defining feature of the development is its power-secured off-grid energy model, which is designed to reduce dependence on conventional grid connections and address electricity infrastructure constraints affecting large data center developments near Madrid. The campus is planned to utilize on-site Solid Oxide Fuel Cells powered by natural gas to provide dedicated electricity for computing operations, complemented by rooftop solar photovoltaic generation. This integrated power architecture is intended to provide a dedicated and scalable electricity supply for high-density computing while reducing exposure to grid capacity limitations. The large site area and two-block configuration also provide scope for phased deployment of computing infrastructure and associated power systems. Located in Toledo, the project provides a strategic position within central Spain while maintaining proximity to Madrid’s broader digital economy and network ecosystem. Through its combination of 300 MW IT capacity, large-scale land availability, on-site generation, solar integration, and AI-focused facility design, DC Estate Malpica Campus is structured to support substantial future demand for artificial intelligence and high-performance computing infrastructure in Spain.
