Project Overview

Digital Realty Jurong Island Data Center is a proposed 50 MW AI-ready hyperscale facility planned within JTC’s Low-Carbon Data Center Park on Jurong Island, Singapore. Provisionally allocated under Singapore’s second Data Center Call for Application (DC-CFA2), jointly administered through the Economic Development Board (EDB) and Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), the development represents a significant expansion of Digital Realty’s existing presence in the Singapore data center market. Once developed, the facility is expected to become Digital Realty’s fourth data center in Singapore, increasing the company’s regional capacity in the country to more than 134 MW. The multi-story campus is being designed to accommodate rapidly growing artificial intelligence inference, high-performance computing, enterprise cloud, and other data-intensive workloads across the Asia-Pacific region. Its AI-ready architecture incorporates direct-to-chip liquid cooling technology, enabling efficient thermal management for high-density computing environments and next-generation accelerator hardware. The facility is also expected to operate at elevated temperatures suited to Singapore’s tropical climate, helping improve cooling efficiency and reduce dependence on conventional mechanical cooling systems. Energy sustainability is another central component of the project, with Digital Realty pursuing cross-border clean energy import pathways that could enable more than 50% of the facility’s electricity consumption to be supplied through green energy sources. Located within Singapore’s dedicated low-carbon data center ecosystem, the project reflects the country’s strategy of supporting new digital infrastructure while improving energy efficiency and environmental performance. Its combination of high-density AI capability, liquid cooling, optimized tropical operations, and cleaner power sourcing positions the Jurong Island development as a potential cornerstone of Digital Realty’s next-generation hyperscale infrastructure strategy in APAC.
