Digital Realty MAL11 Cyberjaya Data Center

Status: Operational / Phase 2 Expansion (May 2026)   |   Location: Cyberjaya, malaysia

Project Overview

MAL11 is a critical pillar of Digital Realty’s PlatformDIGITAL® ecosystem in Southeast Asia, strategically located in Cyberjaya, Malaysia’s established technology and data center hub. The facility is designed to serve multinational enterprises, hyperscale cloud providers, and regional financial institutions that require low-latency access to Southeast Asian markets. Its role extends beyond a single site, functioning as part of a broader interconnected fabric that supports regional data exchange and hybrid cloud architectures. As of May 2026, MAL11 has been progressively upgraded to support AI inference workloads, reflecting the shift in demand toward GPU-accelerated computing at the edge of cloud regions. These upgrades include high-density cooling configurations capable of handling thermally intensive GPU server racks, along with improved power distribution systems designed for fluctuating AI workloads. The facility’s infrastructure is optimized for flexible deployment, enabling both traditional enterprise applications and modern AI services within the same operational environment.
