Edged Austin Data Center Martindale 24MW Zero Water Campus

Status: Operational   |   Location: 11255 Texas State Highway 142 (TX-142), Martindale, TX 78655, USA

Project Overview

The Edged Austin campus, located at 11255 Texas State Highway 142 in Martindale, Texas, represents a next-generation hyperscale and artificial intelligence data center development positioned along the growing Austin-San Antonio innovation corridor. Spanning approximately 168,000 square feet within a purpose-built heavy-concrete structure, the facility provides around 24 megawatts of critical IT power capacity engineered to support ultra-high-density GPU deployments, accelerated computing, cloud infrastructure, and other energy-intensive digital workloads. Electrical infrastructure is supplied through redundant high-voltage utility feeds from Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative, with integration into the ERCOT transmission grid providing resilient power availability for continuous operations. Static uninterruptible power supply modules provide backup protection for critical computing equipment, while environmentally focused standby generator configurations with multi-day fuel reserves provide additional resilience during extended utility interruptions. A defining feature of the Edged Austin facility is its focus on resource-efficient thermal management. The campus utilizes Edged's Thermal-Flex waterless closed-loop cooling approach, designed to eliminate evaporative water consumption while efficiently managing the substantial heat generated by high-density GPU and AI computing environments. This cooling architecture supports the facility's sustainability objectives while helping achieve highly efficient power utilization. The combination of waterless thermal management and dense computing infrastructure makes the campus particularly suited to next-generation AI workloads where conventional cooling methods can impose significant energy and water requirements. Network connectivity further strengthens the site's role within the Central Texas digital ecosystem. Diverse subterranean dark fiber entry pathways provide resilient connectivity routes and enable low-latency transit to major technology hubs throughout Central Texas, regional telecommunications networks, and global internet exchange ecosystems. By combining substantial power capacity, advanced AI-ready infrastructure, water-efficient cooling, resilient electrical systems, and extensive fiber connectivity, the Edged Austin campus is positioned as a significant digital infrastructure asset supporting the continued expansion of artificial intelligence and cloud computing across the Austin-San Antonio corridor.
