Equinix Warsaw WA1 Data Center: Premier Connectivity & Peering Hub in Poland

Status: Fully Operational Hub   |   Location: Aleje Jerozolimskie 65/79, 00-697 Warsaw, Poland (LIM Center Skyscraper)

Project Overview

Equinix WA1 is Poland's premier interconnection hub and carrier hotel, strategically located within the iconic 43-story LIM Center in the heart of Warsaw's central business district. As one of the country's most connected digital infrastructure facilities, WA1 serves as the home of the Equinix Internet Exchange Poland (formerly PLIX), the nation's largest internet exchange, making it a critical gateway for internet traffic across Poland and the wider Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region. The facility delivers approximately 3.0 MW of critical IT power across secure, high-density colocation environments designed to support enterprises, financial institutions, cloud service providers, telecommunications carriers, content delivery networks, and digital platforms requiring ultra-low-latency connectivity. Powered entirely by 100% certified renewable electricity through Guarantees of Origin (GoOs), WA1 aligns with Equinix's global sustainability objectives while ensuring reliable and resilient operations. The data center is seamlessly interconnected through path-diverse underground dark fiber links with Equinix's WA2, WA3, and WA4x campuses, enabling high-availability metro connectivity and disaster recovery capabilities. Customers also gain access to an extensive ecosystem of carriers, internet service providers, cloud on-ramps, and business partners, allowing rapid deployment of hybrid multi-cloud architectures, secure data exchange, and scalable digital services. Its central location, robust interconnection ecosystem, renewable energy sourcing, and resilient infrastructure make WA1 a cornerstone of Poland's digital economy and a key connectivity gateway between Western and Eastern Europe.
