Equinix Warsaw WA2 Data Center: Regional Colocation & Cloud Node in Poland
Status: Fully Operational Hub | Location: ul. Poleczki 23, 02-822 Warsaw, Poland
Project Overview
Equinix WA2 is a strategically located International Business Exchange (IBX) data center situated within the modern Poleczki Business Park in southern Warsaw, close to Warsaw Chopin Airport and major transportation corridors. Designed to provide highly resilient and secure colocation services, the facility delivers approximately 4.0 MW of critical IT power across high-density enterprise deployments supporting cloud platforms, telecommunications carriers, financial institutions, content providers, and multinational enterprises throughout Poland and the wider Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region. WA2 serves as a vital regional interconnection hub, enabling customers to establish low-latency connectivity with key business ecosystems, internet exchanges, and cloud service providers. The facility is powered entirely by 100% certified renewable electricity backed by Guarantees of Origin (GoOs), reinforcing Equinix's commitment to sustainable digital infrastructure while maintaining exceptional operational reliability. Built with redundant UPS systems, backup generators, and resilient cooling architecture, WA2 ensures continuous availability for mission-critical applications and digital services. Through dedicated subterranean path-diverse dark fiber infrastructure, the facility is directly interconnected with Equinix WA1, home to the Equinix Internet Exchange Poland (formerly PLIX), as well as the WA4x hyperscale campus and other Warsaw IBX locations, enabling seamless metro connectivity, disaster recovery, and hybrid multi-cloud networking. Its combination of resilient infrastructure, renewable energy, strategic location, and extensive interconnection capabilities makes WA2 a critical component of Equinix's Warsaw data center ecosystem and an important gateway for digital transformation across the CEE region.
