The Goodman AMS01 Data Centre is a 48-megawatt IT hyperscale campus located at De Nieuwe Liede in Vijfhuizen, within the West Amsterdam data center cluster of the Netherlands. Developed by Goodman Group as part of the Goodman European Data Centre Development Partnership with CPP Investments, the project transforms a former brownfield site into a high-density and energy-efficient digital infrastructure hub serving Greater Amsterdam and surrounding European markets. The campus comprises two principal data center buildings, each designed with separate entrances, office accommodation, technical equipment areas, and dedicated electrical power yards to support secure and efficient operations. Each building contains two floors with three data halls, with each hall designed to provide approximately 4 megawatts of IT capacity. This configuration enables the campus to accommodate hyperscale cloud deployments, enterprise computing, artificial intelligence workloads, and other high-density digital applications while allowing capacity to be expanded in a structured manner. The development benefits from approximately 76 megawatts of secured grid capacity, providing a substantial electrical foundation for the 48-megawatt IT deployment and supporting associated cooling and infrastructure systems. Thermal management incorporates closed-loop water cooling designed to efficiently remove heat from high-density computing equipment while improving resource utilization. The campus also features multi-carrier fiber entry infrastructure, providing diverse connectivity options for cloud providers, telecommunications operators, enterprises, and digital service platforms. Strategically positioned within one of Amsterdam’s approved data center development zones, AMS01 benefits from the Netherlands’ extensive telecommunications ecosystem and proximity to major European network infrastructure. Low-latency connectivity to the Amsterdam Internet Exchange (AMS-IX) and regional European exchange points strengthens its role as a digital gateway for international customers. Through its brownfield redevelopment approach, efficient cooling infrastructure, substantial secured grid capacity, and extensive network connectivity, Goodman AMS01 represents an important addition to the Greater Amsterdam hyperscale data center market.
